OPTP Maternity SI-LOC Support Belt – Comfortable ...

This is my second pregnancy (I had no pelvic pain with my first), and at around 4 months I began suffering from intense pelvic pain. The pain got so bad that I was in tears every time I had to get up and move around, especially in bed. I started seeing my chiropractor and it had to get worse before it got better - the chiro helped keep the pain from being shooting/intense, but I was still in pain daily. I also sit at a desk all day and noticed that my pelvic pain was getting worse from sitting.

My midwife recommended a support belt, one that would push my pelvis together. I originally bought one from Motherhood Maternity (the one that goes over and under your belly), and it did not give my pelvis any support (just my belly.) I did a lot of research and finally decided to order this belt from Amazon. I don't write many reviews, but wanted all pregnant women with pelvic pain to know, this belt works! I am wearing it now!

My pelvis feels supported, I don't get the throbbing pain anymore when I wear it on a daily basis, and I can tell a big difference when I have not worn the belt for awhile. Some reviews stated that the belt is too cumbersome, especially for frequent restroom breaks, but it's honestly not that difficult to put on and off. To me, I'd rather be inconvenienced at restroom breaks than have the pelvic pain.

A big concern is if you don't take care of your pelvis, or aren't careful, you can do damage and your pain may not go away after your baby is born. Take care of your pelvis now! For the price, I would highly recommend this belt.

Size: I ordered the S/M (I am regularly a small in shirts, maybe a 4-6 in pants) and I have big babies, and am all belly. I think I could be a few sizes bigger and this would still fit perfectly fine.

Low back and pelvic pain often occur when there are problems involving the deep muscles of the core. These muscles often need training before strengthening, yes there is a difference &#; see Core Training vs Strengthening.

This belt is used as an adjunct during core muscle training and acts both to provide mechanical support and sensory input to remind the brain which muscle(s) need &#;waking up&#;. How does it do this?
